Tour Itinerary

DAY 1: NHA TRANG ✈ GUANGZHOU - KUNMING (On the plane)

Main activities: Departure for the Spring City of Yunnan

• Fly to Kunming, with a connection in Guangzhou.
• On arrival, the group goes to the hotel to check in and rest.
• Overnight in Kunming.

DAY 2: KUNMING - DALI (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Main activities: Starting the Yunnan journey with ancient towns and a highland lake

• Depart for Dali by high-speed train (distance: ~320 km, about 2.5 hours)
• Sightsee and stroll freely in the Erhai Lake Ecological Corridor (bicycle rental and drinks not included).
• Fengyang Yi Ancient Village A peaceful old village at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, preserving Bai ethnic culture and traces of the Tea Horse Road.
• Three Pagodas of Dali admire and take photos from afar of this spiritual architectural icon (entrance ticket not included)
• Dali Ancient City is the heart of the Dali region; admire thousand-year-old structures and freely explore the cuisine (electric cart cost at own expense)
• Overnight in Dali.

DAY 3: DALI - SHANGRILA (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Main activities: Visit mystical "Little Tibet" on the plateau, a land of sacred monasteries

• Depart for Shangri-La by coach (distance: ~316 km, about 5 hours)
• Visit the Dukezong Ancient Town, one of the most important destinations in Shangri-La, with a history of more than 1,300 years. It was once an important rest stop on the "Tea Horse Road". Here the group visits the giant gold-plated Great Prayer Wheel and turns the wheel together to pray for peace and luck.
• Guishan Park - on a hill in the centre of the old town. Guests climb the steps to pay respects at the gold-plated bronze Prayer Wheel weighing more than 60 tonnes
• Shangri-La Harmony Tower is an outstanding Tibetan Buddhist structure with a great white stupa about 108 m high
• Yak hotpot dining experience
• Overnight in Shangri-La.

DAY 4: SHANGRILA - LIJIANG (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Main activities: Into the land of immortals between the plateau and Tibetan culture

• Pay respects at Songzanlin Monastery, also known as Guishan Temple, called the "Little Potala Palace" of Yunnan. It is the largest and most important Tibetan Buddhist monastery in the region, built in 1679 by the 5th Dalai Lama (electric cart included)
• Depart for Lijiang by coach (distance: ~185 km, about 3.5 hours)
• On the way, stop to explore Tiger Leaping Gorge (lift cost included).
• Black Dragon Pool Park, like a painting in the heart of Lijiang, receiving the pure water from the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
• Lijiang Ancient Town is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site built in the late Song dynasty more than 800 years ago, on the Yunnan–Guizhou plateau, with architecture blending Han, Bai and Tibetan cultures with the traditional style of the indigenous Naxi people. It was also an extremely busy commercial hub on the legendary Tea Horse Road.
• Enjoy a wild mushroom hotpot
• Optional suggestion outside the program: sign up for the "Lijiang Eternal Love" show (at own expense)
• Overnight in Lijiang

DAY 5: LIJIANG (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Main activities: Reach the snow-mountain wonder and enjoy a show recreating stories tied to the legendary Tea Horse Road

• Conquer Jade Dragon Snow Mountain by cable car up to Yunshanping at an altitude of about 3,200 m, viewing the whole Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (cable car included)
• Enjoy, as a gift, the outdoor show "Impression Lijiang" staged by director Zhang Yimou at over 3,000 m against a real snow-mountain backdrop.
• Blue Moon Valley lies at the foot of the snow mountain; its water is a magical jade green from natural minerals. The valley curves like a crescent moon, as beautiful as a real-life ink-wash painting (electric cart at own expense).
• Depart for Kunming by high-speed train (distance: ~440 km - 500 km, about 4 hours)
• Overnight in Kunming.

(*) Note:

- If the cable car and the Impression Lijiang show are temporarily suspended for maintenance or because weather conditions do not allow operation, the program will substitute an attraction suitable to the actual situation.

- The complimentary Yunshanping cable car ticket and the Impression Lijiang show ticket are non-refundable and will not be replaced by another service if you do not take part or if they are cancelled due to weather or the provider's operating conditions

DAY 6: KUNMING ✈ GUANGZHOU - NHA TRANG (Breakfast)

Main activities: End of the journey

• Take the flight back to Vietnam.
• Arrive at Cam Ranh Airport; the coach takes the group back to the original meeting point.
• End of the program.
